Music is the most famous of all the hardneck garlic varieties grown in North America. It reliably produces huge bulbs with giant cloves, some well over an ounce! Music always sells out first, so reserve your seed garlic now!
NOTICE: Watch for other online garlic stores that claim they are selling Music garlic. If the bulbs have 7-12 cloves per bulb, THIS IS NOT MUSIC! True Music bulbs have only 4-6 cloves per bulb. We see way too many online stores believing what they sell is Music. Buyer beware.
Music is a hardneck garlic variety, which means it produces garlic scapes in late spring. Garlic scapes are edible, which means you get to enjoy your garlic harvest twice! Music belongs to the Porcelain group of garlic varieties. This type of garlic is known for its huge cloves, soft pink/white colored skin and its delicious taste. You simply cannot buy this garlic at your local supermarket.
It is a great introductory variety for new garlic growers because of its wide adaptability to different climates. Here in Montana, they are consistently one of the earliest to emerge in late winter, as well as one of the earliest to mature not long after the summer solstice. Music tends to be the highest yielding variety we grow. Music is extra cold hardy. We have had 15F nights in late March, and Music looked none the worse. Stores very well.

Disease Free Garlic
Not all seed garlic growers test their crop every year for the major diseases that afflict garlic. Seed is then shipped all around the country to home growers who may not know what has happened before it's too late. Here at Hayward Garlic, we test every crop for a variety of plant pathogens, giving our customers the reassurance their investment is not infected with disease!
